why everything has to happen at the same time? part 2
2009 September 25And here I am again.
Ready to start second part and to tell what an intense time we had in past few weeks.
So let’s get back to the story about Ieva’s and Kamazas’ wedding eve party.
Domas, known as a TV star edditing some matterial.
This one I took the evening before that party started.
Domas was edditing till 8am and after that had to shoot Kamazas during next day’s events.
Poor guy.
Here I should explain how everything went.
We made kind of a game – Ieva and Kamazas had to visit 9 different points in the town (separate from each other) to fulfil 9 different tasks.
These places were somehow important to them and the tasks as well.
The schedule was pretty strict – like 20 min for each of the tasks. (you’ll know later why)
I took part just in some of them.
Here is the first one.
We (Kamazas and me) had to run in circles in the place our former swimming pool was (we did it when we were kids, that’s why such a task).
Somehow we ended up earlier we had to, so we had some time for tea with milk.
These are first frames I took with my Nikon FE.
Totally fell in love with that camera.
The light in that restaurant was perfect so I couldn’t stop shooting.
Since we had some time we were chatting about the new camera I just got.
And somehow I mentioned that FE is capable of making multiple exposures.
Kamazas couldn’t believe it so I did this one just to prove it to him.
Find the result not so bad.
(have better ones already, but in the next post maybe)
Kamazas gets a new task.
He had to go to the swimming pool and to swim 200 meters or something like that.
Since I was driving a bike, I accompanied Kamazas while going to the place of the next task.
Then I left him with his brother.
Ieva in Sla’s car.
I took part in the next task Ieva had to fulfil.
Sla the cameraman.
The task took part in the flat where Ieva and Kamazas moved in after their wedding.
The task was to make the drawing of the flat and describe it to the camera.
Ieva talking about upcoming every day life.
Posing.
What a wonderfull light (like that in the background).
As you can see we are in the (train) station and that’s the reason for our strict task schedule – we had not to miss the train that leaves at 3pm
Allan came to say see you soon (he came by car a bit later)
I wonder what was the story about. (I took that one through the train window)
Punks not dead.
They almost missed the train.
Together again.
I really like the idea putting them together for the second part of the wedding eve.
Espcially that they didn’t know anything about it.
Domas+beer.
He deserved it.
Had two huskies in the train.
Took this one for Martynas.
Sla producing some electricity in Judita’s hair.
Really like shooting in the train.
On one hand it’s cause of the light on the other people don’t see me so I can feel free.
Some discussions.
The map of the place we had to find.
Antanas drew it to me in the morning on some beautiful sheet of paper.
Our group in the forest.
Pretending we know where to go to.
Finally we reached the place.
Just when I got the rolls developed, I understood it was raining.
Elegant way not to get wet.
Like that one a lot.
This is the practical one.
Tool that saved the day.
You should ask Kamazas about that.
Good morning, Sla.
This is the next day already.
Breakfast tea and some strange food.
Dalia in the woods.
Punks still not dead (I mean Bronius’ hand)
Packing the tent.
The causers of the party decided to leave a bit earlier.
Preparing some food again.
Actually I understood that while staying in the forest you just eat, drink and sleep.
That’s cool.
Realy important thing is to enjoy the views.
We had a wonderfull one in front of us.
Some canoeists enjoyed it too.
Back to the daily routine.
Sla and Domas decided to go for a swim (I did it a bit earlier)
The temperature of +15 is to be mentioned.
I saw them having a little chat so decided to join.
This one is one of my favorits.
Love the light very much. To tell the truth I prefer shooting in a cloudy day to the sunny one.
View to our camping place.
Dalia picked some cade.
She took it’s bark off to make the frankincence out of it.
These who left earlier called to tell, that the train was like two or more hours late.
Just before leaving.
We cooked some potatoes in the fire. And left it for a bit to long in there.
Dalia showing what’s left.
We decided not to miss the last train so we left.
Domas walking in front of me.
Did some walking…
…and some talking while walking.
Yes, it looks similar to this one.
Domas fooling around with the rails.
Waiting for the train to come.
Waiting and chatting.
And here it comes.
Pretty usual view when coming back from Zervynos.
Here we jump some days ahead.
The evening before Ieva’s and Kamazas’ wedding.
Sla putting a roll of a film into the Practica LB2
Dont’ know if he used it at least ones till now.
Did you, Sla?
So, the big day.
Had to pick up the bride.
Wedding took part in a really strange and cool place – Liepkalnis.
This is the skiing base originally.
So, this was the view we had.
(like that bus the most:))
Allan did some filming.
The great moment (like Sla’s serious face:)
Ieva and Kamazas decided to be merried by us – friends and family.
Happy ones…
…and the crying ones (happy although).
This guy just climbed up the hill with his bike.
Somehow I like that one.
I don’t realy remember the sequence, but I think it is time for the dance.
I really like this one.
Sun went down and the party begun.
This was our party house.
(used one of the cars as a tripod to take this one)
Some more multiple exposures.
Yes, you are right – Ieva got a new hair-cut.
Domas did it.
Looks cool!
Let this one be the last one in this post.
This is the night view of Vilnius we had.
Just wanted to try the auto function of my FE – set the aperture to 22 and left it to count the time automaticaly.
After 45 minutes I found it still open with the big green grasshopper on it (the black line in the sky is it’s leg I think).
During this period a plain flew in fornt of the camera (the airport was ahead). The white line in the sky are the lights of that landing plain.
I like the picture (most because of it’s story;)
So, that’s it for today.
Have fun!
