New York New York part two
2010 June 21I’m ready with the part two and bunch of classic b&w pics.
While beeing in NYC it was impossible to me not to mention all these texting-or-doing-something-with-their-mobiles-people.
So, I did some series.
Take a look.
“Mine is better, you see.”
Mind the shoes.
This italian guy wins the comunicating-on-the-street competition.
Smoking a cigar while talking skype with his laptop in a park.
Back to story-telling.
96th was our station.
In a subway.
I wonder when LT freelancers will have that kind of union with that kind of initiatives.
Nice logo btw.
And sorry for that awful framing.
This one is so cityish.
(and I do not miss the focus)
100% NYC
I wonder what kind of heat has it to be to steam when it’s +25C outside.
These girls where so loud while making the candyfloss themselfes.
Then they asked me to take a picture of them and I droped their pocket camera.
I’ m happy, that all I had to do to make it function again was to put the battery back.
Uff…
Subway and helvetica again.
The guy behind the pillar was not so happy about me taking the pic.
That was so funny that Dalia was sleeping in subway all the time.
All she had to do was to step in and to sit down.
Central Park.
Searching for Jogaila monument for Dangis.
Sorry for the postcar view, but the buildings, the pond with the boats
and the guy with the tripod made me to take this one.
Streets again.
This was a cozy place not far away from the place we lived.
It’s America, man.
What a surfaces and what a light!
(this time scanner did well – even the Chrysler is visible)
Close-up with 35mm is not so beautiful for a girl’s face.
Usually.
But not this time;)
Dalia’s new toy.
Unfortunately it’s back to Adorama ‘cuz of the transport failure.
Hopefully they’ll fix it.
Times square.
We were passing this place way to often.
Long live the designer of that t-shirt:)
I thought the “Y” is on the back side, but it isn’t:)
I do not know a shit about fashion, and maybe it’s a really cool brand, but you have to be radio dj to pronounce that at the first time.
You have B&H photo video and you have this:)
On the way to see the ocean.
It was a bit different from the beaches we were used to.
(this could go to the comunicating-on-the-street series, but it fits better here I think)
All the people were so different from these in Manhattan.
No comments again.
Mexican restaurant on the way back in Brooklyn.
Just before the LCD Soundsystem concert.
It was an hour late, so we took a walk.
And found a park in front of the river.
These bike drivers were so fast I had to wait for couple of minutes to cross the road.
Waiting.
Murphy rocks.
I know, that it’s strange to take pictures during the concert and even during that kind of concert, but I could not resist.
And do not regret that.
That’s weird.
Subway.
What a hell is rodenticide?
It’s not good for rats that’s for sure.
‘No drugs on premises after dusk or 7:00 P.M which ever comes first.’
Dalia+book.
Everywhere.
A fast subway.
Not far away from the UN.
I know, that this one could have been different – more classical – the guy with the trolley more right, the lines horizontal.
But I like it the way it is – it’s more live, more of the moment.
Making post cards again…
…and again.
Like the hands.
The girls were waiting for me quite often – everything was too b&w arround me.
I just do not understand – how can you like to sit on that kind of mad horse?
(it looks like screensaver with that url at the bottom right btw)
It looked like a toy.
Dalia conquering the Smena.
This park under the bridge had perfect grass and the view was nice.
Just one thing I can not understand – how these people do not react to that deafening subway noise.
At Cooper Hewitt.
X-large.
Light!
They are writing everywhere and everything.
Like the emergency evacuation one.
“Good stuff”
Guys singing in front of the Metropolitan museum.
Had some good time while waiting for girls to come out.
In china town again.
This guy saw me taking the picture and I felt like he was posing.
Or just did not give a shit about me.
Some shots one has to take when one’s in nyc.
Just do not understand why to put that kind of sign?
Not to get ones feet wet?
In Williamsburg.
In front of our favorite place.
The guy beside us.
(also fits to the comunicating-on-the-street series, but this one’s more about the beer)
The last day.
In Williamsburg Dalia taking picture…
… of Manhattan.
On the way back.
And what about surprise-birthday-party?
On the door of the place we lived in.
Leaving to JFK.
I was to weak to carry all the luggage so we took a cab.
Snacks before the flight.
Delicious KFC burger.
Safety instructions on the screen.
Funny animation.
Was sleeping a bit.
Then woke up, took this one and fell asleep again.
Travelling back was way better.
Kiev.
Took this one and the soldier stoped me from taking others.
The view that describes the Kiev airport perfectly.
Plane to Vilnius.
I think this is what they call fluffy clouds.

is it the making of the point: “frame your picture”?
