Long live the snow!
2010 March 21Since this winter was so hell of a snow time, we gave much of attention to it.
In the moment I’m writing we have just very few leftovers of that white thing outside (hopefully, it will stay like that)
Take a look what we had for last weeks.
Shot as usual on Nikon FE+tri-x and the square ones are from Yashica D + 160NC
Enjoy!
The other day in a park.
We had such a soft light.
My point of view.
Having wine.
Sometimes it happens to be to close, but it doesn’t disturb me at this one.
On the way home.
F2/, 1/4th iso400 if I remember that corectly.
At Karolis’ place.
Julius getting ready for a movie.
Dangiras, the teacher.
Was shooting for Oval and the article about his dance lessons.
Made some analogs as well.
On the way to Kaunas.
Was hell of a freezing day.
At Dalia’s grandparents place.
It’s important the sign and how the the cars are parked.
And it’s important, that the signs are hand-made (sometimes the people are so strange:).
Dalia’s talkings.
The example of a city planning.
First they build the monument, enlight it and then – the palace.
Nobody is interested in changing the lights.
The result – shadow theatre.
And this – in the centre of a capital.
Visited Gariūnai – the bigest market area near Vilnius.
View to thermo power-station.
(’11th row’ it sais on a stick)
Martynas’ preparation to designboom markt in Stockholm.
Mind the t-shirt.
Visiting Skirmis and Eglė.
Good-mood-Poja-face.
This is again the case I do not miss the focus.
Justė – the head of “Paper Bar” in Hotel of Things.
Love the way they prepare the coffe (feels like home;)
Professional way to check the wine quality.
Home sweet home.
In Užutrakis (the same place we love visiting in summer)
Allan running on the frozen lake.
Ready-to-shoot-girl.
Photo lessons…
… attract people.
Fooling around.
Some wine-talkings in wonderfull CAC light.
Argue in Oval meeting.
Dangiras’ opinion.
‘Attention: we recognize unknown cars very quickly’
At Café de Paris.
They had this wonderfull smoke, light and music.
Am I wrong about the light?
The balcony of Lithanian Opera and Ballet Theatre – it’s been ages since the last time I was watching the performance from that place.
We had a classic b&w view.
At Paulius’ place.
Together with Martynas working on a jewellery project.
Accurate hands.
The bigger part of the evening Paulius spent drawing contour maps for his studies.
Poor guy.
The gear.
At CAC.
Just before leaving to Paulius’ homestad.
I understood I missed that camera so much.
Arrived.
Since it was lots of snow we had to leave our cars and to have a 10 min. walk till we reached our destination.
And that’s what we found.
The real country side life.
Mixed town-country still-life.
What a clever guy Martynas is.
(it’s good when the shoes do not stink)
We decided to have a look around just before the dusk.
First when I saw this it was a pitty not to have a Yashica loaded with Kodak 160 nc there.
But now I like it on b&w even better.
That was Martynas birthday we where celebrating.
That was strange to have that white tablecloth and the candles in that old country side house.
Domas reading the lockal newspaper.
To browse through the commercials in these small newspapers is quite a funny way of spending time.
Morning.
Karolis – the samurai.
Or the palm-head (witch one is better for you)
It was such a perfect sun so we spent quite a time outside.
What a happy face.
This one describes the mood of the time we had there perfectly.
The other evening.
We had a great old stove and prepared delicious hotpot in it.
That kind of the pot I saw just on TV before visiting Paulius’ homestead.
Romantics with the bear cans.
We even had a TV screening.
Back to color.
All the days were perfectly warm (in the context of an early March of course).
Martynas decided to let some air in to the frozen pond.
Using the last opportunity to have fun on the snow.
Paulius’ try.
(It’s important to cover the face in case you get snow attack.)
After our training in the houmstead’s yard we decided to search for higher mountains.
GO!
(To tell the truth, just by a hair I was not hit by Dalia when taking this one)
Happy watchers.
Getting ready.
Samurai on a snowboard.
Karolis tried that kind of hill landing to.
Just before leaving – the guys were going out fishing.
Country-side-fishermen-from-the-town-fashion.
