Just few weeks passed by and here I am again!

Hi all after a hell long time.

Have to admit, felt a bit strange shooting back home after all these views in NYC.

It could be the reason why it took so long to this post.

And maybe it is the reason why this post will be randomish as hell.

In one of the most beautiful terraces in Vilnius spent some time there reading.

Got this damn bronchitis so had to forget the swimming and bike riding for almost a month.

Happy can do this again. Yeah!

While beeing in NYC it was impossible to me not to mention all these texting-or-doing-something-with-their-mobiles-people.

So, I did some series.

New York New York part one

After a bit of a time I’m back.

This time with bunch of pics from New York.

Since it’s realy a bunch, I’m dividing it into two parts.

This is the first one, the second should come up in few weeks.

We were flying from Riga.

Had to come to Riga’s airport in the evening and to leave in the morning.

The still-life we found just in front of the entrance.

In front of this entrance.

We found an area covered in wood and decided to rest there a bit.

Martynas – the perfect example of beeing able to sleep wherever he wants.

Me and my sis we are not so good at sleeping in some strange places, so we took a look at the airport from outside.

The dawn in the airport.

Feeling a bit strange already.

But just a bit. Yet.

On the way to Kiev.

Ignas was the guy from LT flying with us to N.Y.

And even to the same exhibition centre as we did.

Kiev.

The weather outside was so damn summerish and we had to stay inside that strange building.

So, we went to the bar.

That time was really dizzy.

In the plain.

Finally.

It took 12 hours to go to N.Y. (because of the Iceland ash cloud we had to go from Kiev through Norway, Greenland and Canada).

And 10 of these hours was daytime.

This sleep lack allmost killed me.

New York!

I allmost do not remember taking this one – in more than 36 hours I had less than 3 hours of sleep.

After a strange sleep we went out.

Up was the direction we were looking at.

All that town is so damn black and white.

So black and white and so fond of helvetica.

The map is the thing you have to have in the place you don’t know.

Sometimes it’s the problem to understand that thing.

Mind Martynas’ smart face.

It’s still smart.

All three I shot in the sequence it is shown.

Somehow I like this crop illusion that appears looking in all of them.

To tell the trouth only when I saw that place I understood what actually happened there.

That’s the place we went afterwards.

We were living on west 92nd so, had perfect surroundings.

Were thinking about visiting this place but somehow it did not work out.

Then we came home and found bbq party there.

Hi to everybody!

It’s been quite a time I’ve posted something.

That’s why I have a bit more pictures to show.

Since this winter was so hell of a snow time, we gave much of attention to it.

In the moment I’m writing we have just very few leftovers of that white thing outside (hopefully, it will stay like that)

First when I saw this it was a pitty not to have a Yashica loaded with Kodak 160 nc there.

That was strange to have that white tablecloth and the candles in that old country side house.

To browse through the commercials in these small newspapers is quite a funny way of spending time.

It was such a perfect sun so we spent quite a time outside.

Another Kaziukas Market / Kitoks Kaziuko turgus

Hi there!

We have a totaly freezing spring here.

And it happened, that we had to spent three days in that cold.

This is all about Kaziukas market – the market we have every year in the beginning of the spring. The market is about the traditional Lithuanian stuff – wooden spoons and stuff like that.

Thanks to the Hotel Of Things, we had ‘Another Kaziukas market’ – the place, where all the designers could sell their stuff – none of the wooden spoons could been found there.

As usual, will not interrupt and will not disturb you from watching the pics.

That’s how it went.

Even on monday I was shivering after that funy week end.

But it was worth it.

Yes, it’s plenty of that beautiful white thing around us.

Some clever people where talking, that this is the snowiest winter in Lithuania during last 15 years.

There is lots of fun of course, but to tell the truth I miss my bike allready.

Was disapointed – maybe was expecting to much.

And what I found was just a piece typical lithuanian theater.

Still – was worth seeing it.

Before the after

Hi everybody!

Just short explanation for that strange name I have for this post – all the pictures you’ll see here are taken before the post before.

Some of them are taken even in autumn I think (bad thing is to be late with the pictures – then I start to forget when, where and why all the things happened. Shit)

So, let’s begin with the things that happened befor the after.

That one I took in October I think.

Just wanted to check it out how that sweet spacey view will look on the film.

One more autumnish view – this time checking out the fog on the film.

Let’s move inside – our beloved CAC café.

Had a cozy chat with Artūras.

People are doing things while talking.

Artūras is pointing mostly.

We started with inside activities – lecture+movie is one of them.

Some preparation.

And here we go.

Strange thing is to see the desktop on that kind of TV.

The view from Dalia’s and Lukas’ flat vindow.

It’s the building of Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra.

They changed their logo like two years ago, but still have the old one on the building.

Latelly it started to fell apart (or they started removing it really slow).

After having few beers Domas decided to teach Allan to speak Lithuanian.

At his place before starting to watch District 9 – one of must see movies.

The other day we wanted to play curling (it had to be a birthday surprise for Tautvydė), but some guy from lithuanian curling associacion (or something like that) did not arrange it for us.

So what we did was skating on ice.

To tell the truth it was cool – just after skating for an hour or so I remembered that I hat the camera.

So I took this one.

Discussing some projects with Martynas.

Some strange jazz concert – the main guy was crazy enough to play with all the thing he found in his surroundings.

They were eating so expressive I couldn’t hold myself not to picturing them.

Next day.

Karolis pretends to feel great after yesterday’s evening:)

The aim of the workshop was to design something from the things or materials found on the see shore.

So, we started.

Crew.

When you find something…

… you have to share it with your friends.

Karolis found his way of beeing beautiful.

Next we decided to do was to move the log.

And bring it…

… back to where it belongs.

That’s what Lithuanian designers are doing in workshops.

It was bone or something Paulius found.

Back to the working place.

Christmas Market of Things / Kalėdinis daiktų turgus

Hi there after a hell long time.

Have a color post this time (after a hell long time too).

This one is from the Christmas Market of Things that took part at Hotel of Things.

Try not to disturb You with all the talkings and promise to tell only the necessary things.

Have the b&w post ready and hope to post it during next week.

So, let’s start with the Christmas market.

This was the preparation evening.

We built tables, did some light orderings and stuff like that.

And here it goes!

Had lots of fun during that weekend and have to tell huge and enormous thanks to Hotel of Things.
