That’s how the summer goes
Tuesday, August 18th, 2009Here I am again.
And have some random shots from here and there – some usual lazy summer mornings, days and evenings.
To tell the truth I’m working as hell lately and have a bunch of pictures on digital and film from about three or four sessions (hope to post them here or on my web in some weeks if they still will look like worth it to me).
But let’s get back to the lazy things.
Karolis in Užutrakis.
We still spend a lot of time in that wonderful place.
Like the atmosphere and evening light in this one.
More shots, same evening.
Don’t remember the story about this one…
…but remember this one.
Martynas washing watermelon in the lake.
Like how the evening sky bounces in the water and makes it’s surface so real in these two.
The result of the whole-day-fishing-sunburn on Martynas back.
Quiz evenings play realy important role in our lazy summertime.
But they are never lazy for Domas.
He is so involved in it all the time.
He’s listening to the correct answers as they would bring him a million.
A bit different emotions in Ievutė’s face.
Chilly moment.
Some other evening.
Martynas and his (yellow) Moskvitch.
Great parking habits.
Same evening a bit later.
Dalia+evening light.
Domas, Sla and me, we where having lunch at woo, when this guy came.
He needed like 33 cents from each of us to get home.
After we gave him some he sat at our table and talked about this and that.
There are some people who are looking at all the directions but the person they are talking to. The guy was 100% that type.
He said, he was a journalist, asked about what we are doing for living and gave each of us a magazine according to the answer.
Sla reading his one.
Some friday. We went to Dalia’s and Lukas’ place for the dinner and some table games.
The view from the balcony.
Like all the layers in this shot.
We had some wine…
…so, the table games evening became a bit wild.
Decided to go out.
Since it was a wine evening, we picked the tapo d’oro wine-bar.
This one illustrates the spirit of that evening pretty well.
Can’t tell I was sober, but these three were shot on 1/8th hand – held.
One of the halls in CAC exhibition “Big In Japan” – all the surfaces covered with toy railes and toy cars.
The creation of PARAMODEL.
Incredible.
I think that guy makes the pic.
Ku and his MINI’s spare parts (some for micro climate control).
These guys are repairing the trolleybus wires.
Every time I see them, they are just talking like in the pic – and just after half an hour of discution they start repairing something.
Their speech topic usualy has nothing to do with their job (they are talking how to hang kitchen cupboards in this one).
Playing football near the Baltasis bridge (to tell the truth, we where simply kickin the ball to each other)
Lately I shot a lot in the evening light – adore that, especially on b&w.
Laris came by one evening.
Where talking about this and that.
This fancy guy took part as well.
The still-life I found one day in the living-room.
Dog’s comb + breadboard. Delicious combination.
This one is from Dalia’s ount birthday.
The thing I really like about this one is that the overexposion makes her (Dalia’s cousin) look like a doll.
Justas singing from his little daughter’s book.
Strange, but he can sing just from the notes.
Don’t know how to sing at all. Especially can not imagine how is it possible to sing from the notes.
Dalia searching some worth-to-read books between give away ones at her parent’s place.
Ūla gave her a helping hand.
Our balcony is a really lovely place to chat.
Martynas came by one day.
His thinking-while-smoking face in this one.
And here we have our new favorite place to eat.
This turkish guy Alli (don’t know if I write it right) is preparing incredible turkish food.
And has wonderfull tea as well.
Domas waiting for one.
Tasting…
…and working.
Can not understand the idea of having two mobile phones.
The one I have is already to much for me. But two…
After eating and working he decided to give some attention to this little ladybird on his wrist.
Ice-cream time in Lukiškių square.
Dalia bought some bran.
After I asked her how will she use it, she understood, that the manual is to be read.
So, she did.
Very carefully.
It’s the same evening, when I remember it correctelly.
Goda asked us to come to her bbq party.
Preparing to that.
Going to Goda’s place.
The evening light (again) in Gedimino street.
We are passing this way every evening when going to meet some people or just when having a bike ride.
Decided to have a pic of this view.
So we came.
Was night already and I had t-max 100 loaded, but decided to try.
This one taken with self-timer, camera put on the knee.
Something like half a second.
Allan and Domas telling the story about Christmas duck and latvian guy’s journey to Lithuania to get one.
The n2020 makes three shots when newly loaded.
One of them.
Breakfast in Vasaknai manor.
Was shooting for them and had to stay there for the whole weekend. (these are the pictures I’m going to post. Some others as well)
Dalia came with.
It was jus a bit cloudy – perfect weather for shooting…
…and swimming.
This one is one of my favorites (think I shoud overexpose more often)
On the way back.
Dalia decided to search for some tutsan.
The challenge is to find her in this one.
Dalia shooting Molėtai observatory.
I found these two flies somehow strange in that modern place.
The font as well.
